Intensive Moscow's Attacks Cut Electricity In Kyiv

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's power facilities have faced increased attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have resulted in power cuts in extensive areas of the capital city, the Ukrainian capital.

Nine people were wounded while inhabitants in the city's east were plunged into darkness and faced problems to water systems, as stated by city officials.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was lost their life in a distinct assault in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, based on information from area administrators.

Moscow has intensified assaults on energy facilities over recent weeks, while officials has requested "concrete actions" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the US, European nations and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 rockets targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such assaults as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

The energy minister said Russia was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A series of attacks damaged power facilities and civilian homes in Kyiv.

Five out of the nine people hurt in the strikes on the capital have been hospitalized, according to city authorities.

Local officials said the urban area endured intense attacks throughout the evening. A young boy died and several individuals were wounded.

The attacks come after nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are currently controlled by Moscow's military.

The entire country is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are tougher to detect.

National leaders told reporters that Moscow was intentionally trying to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Authorities confirmed energy workers and government agencies were bracing for additional strikes.
